Between fulfilling responsibilities as director of Student Activities and teaching several art and photography classes, educator Diane Sipfle still finds time to mentor her students. Now in her 28th year at Liverpool High School, Sipfle reflects on her responsibility to young adults. "I think it's important the students have a real role model," she said. "They need to see that not everyone here just leaves the building at the end of the school day." Sipfle had a major checklist for this year's homecoming week, from coordinating with football coaches for a half-time presentation to pinning the ribbon on a homecoming king nominee. During the same week, students in her art classes received critiques on their projects. "I'm the handler of the balloons," she said. "I'm the point person to help orchestrate and pull it together."
