Patience

Bill and Helena have been together for more than 60 years. Every day around 2:30 p.m. they meet to share a sandwich and a few beers. Both are residents at Greenpoint Nursing Home and take short trips to Onondaga Lake Park to feed the birds. Despite the illness that will eventually take Helena's memory, the couple remains content and full of humor. Bill may joke around, but takes quizzing Helena on memories from their life seriously. Behind the jests, the fear of losing his love and of not being remembered is there. Despite this, he remains positive.
